The purpose of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Dr. Jeanne L. Noble GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) Institute is to guide and support African American young women in grades 9 through 12 toward realizing their full potential. The program is designed to help participants:

Develop leadership skills and confidence in themselves as future leaders.

Strengthen academic achievement and prepare for college or career success.

Explore cultural, social, and community issues that affect their lives.

Build positive self-esteem and a strong sense of identity.

Named in honor of Delta’s distinguished member Dr. Jeanne L. Noble, the GEMS Institute focuses on empowerment, self-respect, and achievement, creating a safe space for young women to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. The program reflects Delta Sigma Theta’s commitment to educational development and the positive transformation of communities.
