The purpose of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Dr. Jeanne L. Noble GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) Institute is to guide and support African American young women in grades 9 through 12 toward realizing their full potential. The program is designed to help participants:

• Develop leadership skills and confidence in themselves as future leaders.

• Strengthen academic achievement and prepare for college or career success.

• Explore cultural, social, and community issues that affect their lives.

• Build positive self-esteem and a strong sense of identity.

• Make informed decisions through mentoring, goal setting, and life planning.

Named in honor of Delta’s distinguished member Dr. Jeanne L. Noble, the GEMS Institute focuses on empowerment, self-respect, and achievement, creating a safe space for young women to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. The program reflects Delta Sigma Theta’s commitment to educational development and the positive transformation of communities.
